Chemical tanks

Tanks for acids, alkalis and chemical reagents

We build chemically resistant tanks and reservoirs of polypropylene and PE-HD for storing and preparing acid, alkali and reagent solutions. Unlike steel tanks, plastic does not rust and needs no protective coating. We work with chemical, mining, metallurgical and electroplating plants across Uzbekistan.

Applications

Acids

Sulphuric, hydrochloric, phosphoric and other acid solutions within permitted concentrations.

Alkalis

Caustic soda, alkali solutions and cleaning agents.

Water treatment reagents

Coagulants, flocculants, hypochlorite and reagent dosing.

Mining

Solution tanks for concentrating and metallurgical plants.

Electroplating

Supply and reserve tanks for electrolytes and rinse water.

Wastewater

Collection and neutralisation tanks for acidic and alkaline effluent.

The right material

PP — polypropylene

  • Broad resistance to acids and alkalis
  • Service temperature up to approx. +90 °C
  • Suitable for hot solutions and baths

PE-HD — high-density polyethylene

  • Good resistance to many acids and alkalis
  • Impact and frost resistant
  • Service temperature up to approx. +60 °C

Plastic resistance depends on the substance, concentration and temperature. Send us the media composition and we will choose the material from chemical resistance tables and calculate the wall thickness.

Fittings for chemical media

  • PP/PE nozzles and flanges
  • Sealed manholes and lids
  • Level gauges and indicators
  • Agitators and mixing
  • Heating and insulation
  • STÜBBE chemical pumps and piping

Frequently asked questions

Which acids can be stored in a plastic tank?

Polypropylene and PE-HD resist most inorganic acids and alkalis at working concentrations. For strong oxidisers and concentrated acids we check suitability separately against resistance tables.

Why plastic instead of steel?

It does not corrode, needs no lining or painting, is easier to install, and damage can be repaired by welding on site.

Can hot solutions be stored?

Yes, we use polypropylene for hot media. The maximum temperature is chosen for the substance and the load on the walls.

How much does a chemical tank cost?

The price depends on the volume, material, sheet thickness and fittings. Send a request and we will quote within one business day.
